Kanye West is being sued for more than $400,000, according to reports.
Kanye West is seen leaving his hotel on March 3, 2022 in Miami, Florida.The David Casavant Archive, which has provided designer clothing for celebrities including West, Pharrell, Kim Kardashian, Solange and 21 Savage and describes itself as a “private collection of the world’s rarest and most coveted garments” filed a complaint against West on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
The company alleged West stopped paying rental fees for 13 “rare, esteemed pieces” in his possession in October 2020, totaling $221,810. The rapper also owes the archive $195,100 if he cannot return the items, the complaint argued. In the complaint, lawyers for David Casavant Archive said West has worked with the company since 2014, and West and his company Yeezy haven’t responded to “numerous inquiries” regarding the unpaid fees.
