The experience is intense and is not recommended for those of a nervous disposition
The National Justice Museum is holding a series of terrifying tours this month, where visitors will be able to walk in the steps of the condemned. Guests will be able to discover the disturbing true crimes committed that landed people in the gaol and stand in the dock where those found guilty heard their fate.
Visitors will also hear about the gruesome crimes that brought defendants to the courtroom, before visiting the dark cells where the condemned spent their final hours. After which, they were escorted to the courtyard and into the gallows. The tour lasts around one hour and guests are asked to wear comfortable shoes and wrap up warm, as it can get a little chilly in the prison, especially with the spine-tingling tales.
