Jurors in the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault trial in Los Angeles were expected to begin deliberations in the case Friday morning after closing arguments are completed.
, after a final push from the prosecution.
Weinstein, 70, is charged with seven sexual assault counts involving four women: three counts of forcible rape, two counts of sexual battery by restraint, one count of forcible oral copulation, and one count of sexual penetration by a foreign object. He pleaded not guilty to all charges. One of the women who testified is Jennifer Siebel Newsom, a documentary filmmaker who is married to California Governor Gavin Newsom.
"Where is the evidence that there is any motivation," Thompson said,"other than to get justice for being sexually assaulted?"
