“Growing old is not for sissies, I promise you,” Jimmy Buffett wrote in a letter posted to his website about the concert rescheduling. “I also will promise you that when I am well enough to perform, that is what I’ll be doing in the land of She-Crab soup.”
Music legend Jimmy Buffett has been hospitalized in Boston for treatment of an undisclosed condition and has cancelled an upcoming show in Charleston, S.C., Buffett said he had stopped in Boston for what was to be a routine check-up, “but wound up back in the hospital to address some issues that needed immediate attention.”
“Growing old is not for sissies, I promise you,” Buffett wrote. “I also will promise you that when I am well enough to perform, that is what I’ll be doing in the land of She-Crab soup.” He attended Auburn for a year before continuing his education at Pearl River Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in History.
