Jimi Hendrix is not only alive, but defying the laws of time and space in an upcoming graphic novel release from Titan Comics. Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze is coming November 7 from djbenhameen, MellowMarketer, and MandrakeTom.
The late Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jimi Hendrix is ready to be immortalized - literally - in an upcoming sci-fi epic from Titan Comics, titled Purple Haze. Despite a relatively brief career before an untimely death, Jimi Hendrix is considered one of the greatest rock musicians of all time. His music is viewed as an iconic, timeless staple of the 1970s, and this original graphic novel will add a new piece to the Hendrix cultural myhtos.
Titan Comics reveals that they will be reviving Jimi Hendrix in graphic novel form. Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze, by Dj Benhameen, Mellow Brown, and Tom Mandrake, reimagines the musician as an immortal time traveler venturing out across the universe through time and space, now with a purposeful mission. Jimi has to retrieve an all-powerful talisman in hopes of preserving the power of music for an alien race.

It was just last year in May of 2022 that Ablaze Publishing released Jimi Hendrix: Electric Requiem, by Mattia Colombara and Gianluca Maconi.
Having such different graphic novels about Jimi Hendrix in such quick succession of each other is a good sign for fans of the singer. It means that artists and creators are finding new, innovative ways to memorialize the 1970s icon for modern audiences. It's been several decades since Jimi Hendrix's death and just as long since he first made an impact on the world.
Reviving Jimi Hendrix for the Modern World Constantly retelling and reinvigorating pioneers of yesteryear through storytelling is how icons like Hendrix become true legends to begin with. The power that music holds on people is both universal and timeless. Now, readers will witness that power come to life in graphic novel form as Jimi Hendrix attempts to use time travel to teach that lesson to a civilization of aliens. Titan Comics will release Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze beginning on November 7.
