Under new head coach Pete DeBoer last season, the Stars posted 108 points in the regular season with a record of 47-21-14, their highest point total since 2015-16. In the Stanley Cup playoffs, the team advanced to the Western Conference Final for the second time in the past four seasons.
Since joining the Stars, Nill has dramatically re-shaped the team’s culture and roster with a series of trades and acquisitions, as well as getting contract extensions done for many of the team’s bright young talents, including Roope Hintz, Jason Robertson and Jake Oettinger.“My family and I are grateful to Tom Gaglardi for his commitment to the organization and giving me every resource available to build this team,” Nill said in the statement.
