TODAY's Jenna Bush Hager recalls bringing her kids to see Lainey Wilson perform on the TODAY plaza recently and shares a hilarious story of her youngest son, Hal, spinning up a tale about how he and Wilson once dated.
Jenna Bush Hager’s 4-year-old son, Hal, is already breaking hearts. According to Hal, country singer Lainey Wilson, 32, asked him to be her boyfriend when she performed live on the TODAY Plaza in June. The preschooler, who will turn 5 in August, attended Wilson’s concert with his sisters Mila, 11, and Poppy, 8. “I introduced my kids to her,” Jenna told Hoda Kotb on July 23.
“So Lainey, you have an admirer named Hal Hager, who created a whole story about how y'all once dated.” Hal should have no trouble moving on, as he's quite the social butterfly. In 2022, Jenna raved about how Hal was completely at ease at a big barbecue. “I went to go sit next to him to feed him, and he looked at me and he goes, ‘You having a good time, Mama?’” Jenna recalled on TODAY. “And I said, ‘Yes, I’m having fun.’ And he goes, ‘Me, too! I just got into the hot tub.
