TV chef James Martin has called for a certain ingredient to be banned from cooking, as he believes it is 'dreadful' and 'two elements away from plastic'
Popular for his fancy for butter, he has never hidden his love for it and even wrote a cookbook about it. But, he can't stand margarine and believes it should be forbidden in the kitchen. He argued: "Margarine should be banned."
As reported by the Express, the debate between butter and margarine is common, yet James thinks it's all about ready-made packet food, hidden fat and salt. Pinpointing the actual issue, he said: "That's the problem in this country. It's not the butter in a butter block or butter you put on your toast. It's the fact that not as many people cook in the UK as they do in France or Italy or Spain.
James recently hit headlines when it was revealed he had split from his girlfriend of 12 years, Louise Davies. The pair started dating in 2011 after meeting on the set of Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
