James Gunn is writing a new Superman movie for DC Studios, which will see the role recast with a younger actor.
James Gunn took to Twitter this evening to express his excitement about the full slate that he and Peter Safran have put together for the future of DC Studios, and confirmed that he is writing a new Superman script, which will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman's life.
With this news, Gunn also confirmed that Henry Cavill will not be returning as Clark Kent, and instead the role will be recast with a younger actor. This news comes on the heels of the post-Black Adam announcement that Cavill would be returning, which is now no longer the case.
