James Arthur revealed he was ‘rolling on the floor in agony’ at the Pride of Britain Awards behind the scenes James Arthur has revealed he was rushed to hospital in excruciating pain with kidney stones moments after his Pride of Britain Awards performance. The Train Wreck hitmaker, 35, performed at this year’s prestigious awards ceremony which was attended by the likes of Amy Dowden, Katherine Ryan, and Nick Knowles.
‘I got off stage and was like, I’ve got to go to the hospital, went to the emergency thing, I’ve got this guy prodding around my bits,’ he said. ‘They did a scan, and found a kidney stone, so I’ve been on heavy painkillers all week. I get the operation to remove it tomorrow. It added a bit to that performance.’ It comes after The X Factor star opened up on a terrifying moment during his time on the reality TV show in which he thought he ‘was going to die.
