Bandmate Kyle Gass reportedly said: “Don’t miss Trump next time.”
NEW YORK - The American rock duo Tenacious D cancelled tour dates following controversial onstage comments linked to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, lead singer Jack Black said on July 16.
“I was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday. I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form,” Black said on July 16 on Instagram. Gass similarly apologised on Instagram: “The line I improvised Sunday night in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake.”
