After missing four games, Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase is trending towards playing on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Cincinnati star says he had a lot of time to think while he was injured, and he returns with a different perspective.
Ja'Marr Chase could return for Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs
“He’s one of the best in the league,” Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow said. “So when a guy like that comes back and enters your offense, it’s going to change the way defenses play you.” "I wouldn't say nervous, it's just me praying,” Chase said. “I never really know what's going to be the outcome until me playing again. So for the most part it's just making sure I'm confident in myself in coming back to the field and being 100 ."
When Chase realized he was going to miss time, he made a point to speak with receiver Trenton Irwin. He told Irwin he was going to be the “next man up” until Chase returned. Even though Irwin was on the practice squad, Chase told him that he could help keep the offense rolling.
