The funeral takes place on Monday
ITV has confirmed its plans for broadcasting the Queen's funeral. Queen Elizabeth II will be laid to rest in a state funeral at Westminster Abbey next Monday, September 19.
The world then watched as Charles, who is now King, and the Queen's other children rushed to be by her bedside, as well as grandsons Prince William and Harry. A short statement released by the Palace said: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon."Since then there has been an outpouring of grief and tributes to the country's longest-reigning monarch.
In what will be the largest outside broadcast in ITV’s history, the historic event will be shown live and uninterrupted on ITV’s main channel and simultaneously on all of its digital channels. The coverage will be preceded by Good Morning Britain which will preview the funeral.
