Italian soccer star Ciro Immobile was involved in a car crash with a tram on Sunday morning, suffering a 'compound fracture' in his right rib among other injuries.

"The player remains under observation at the department of emergency medicine directed by Professor Francesco Franceschi of the Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS in Rome," it reads. One of Serie A’s top goalscorers, Immobile led the league in goals last season with 27 in 31 matches to win the Golden Boot. He also got that award in 2020, 2018 and 2014.
