The Ship Inn on Blackbrook Road in St Helens served its last pint on Sunday, October 22. but was put up for sale by the brewery last summer.
The post on Facebook said: “It is with a heavy heart that from Monday October, 23, The Ship Inn will unfortunately be closing permanently. All the team and management here would like to just say a huge thank you to you all for making the place what it was and all the support you've given.”No bids were received for The Ship Inn and the pub has now been closed permanently. There has been a strong reaction by customers who said they were “gutted” by the loss.
