It's 420, here is a look at marijuana possession laws in Texas and Harris County
that was made into law in 2015. But for those who don't meet the criteria to obtain medical marijuana, there are penalties for those found in possession of certain amounts of marijuana in Texas — and the Harris County District Attorney's Office has its own set of rules.
Two ounces or less of marijuana is a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to 180 days imprisonment and a fine of no more than $2,000. Between four ounces and five pounds of marijuana is a state jail felony, punishable by between 180 and two years of imprisonment, and a fine of no more than $10,000.
