Israeli police kill Palestinian with special needs whom they 'mistakenly' thought was armed in occupied East Jerusalem

The incident happened in the alleys of the walled Old City near Lions' Gate, an access point mainly used by Palestinians. "They called upon him to stop and began to chase after him on foot. During the chase, officers also opened fire at the suspect, who was neutralised."There has been an uptick in violence in occupied east Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank in recent days, although it has yet to reach the levels of 2015 to 2016.
