A 'breakaway group' from the pro-Palestinian march has been detained, the Met Police has said. Earlier fighting broke out as right-wing counter-protesters chanting 'England 'til I die' attempted to reach the Cenotaph in London.

The Israeli prime minister is giving a news conference from Tel Aviv, where he says his country is 'fully prepared' on its northern front. Israel has been exchanging fire with powerful Lebanese militant group Hezbollah on the northern border. Benjamin Netanyahu said he had warned Hezbollah that entering war with Israel would be a 'fatal mistake' that would 'determine the fate of Lebanon'.

He said Hamas has 'lost its grip' on Gaza and there is now 'no place to hide'. Mr Netanyahu said he continues to have daily contact with Joe Biden, and still has the 'political and ethical support' of the American administration. Many world leaders have come to visit Israel to show support but there are 'minorities that pressure the governments', he says.He calls on government to 'not succumb to this pressure' and says 'our war is their war'.
