A trademark filing reveals that an all-new three-row EV SUV could be in the cards.
; there are two applications for something called"TZ450e" and two more for something called"TZ550e," and Lexus doesn't currently offer any global or U.S. models with those model names.We can draw a few conclusions from the names based on the current Lexus nomenclature; the company uses an"S" for sedan models, an"X" for SUVs, and an"M" for its other-market MPVs, and it throws in a"Z" whenever there's a zero emissions model.
We could be waiting a couple of years to find out what the TZ really is, however. Lexus-parent Toyota has already announced three new all-electric vehicle platforms are in development, with the first new models to debut the platforms in 2026. It's likely the Lexus TZ will debut on the largest of the three new platforms. As for price, it will likely come in a few thousand dollars more than the expected $55,000 starting price of the new Lexus TX three-row SUV.
