The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate an early Saturday shooting on Interstate 80 in Oakland that left one man dead and two other men wounded.
OAKLAND — The California Highway Patrol on Monday was continuing to investigate aearly Saturday on Interstate 80 that left one man dead and two other men wounded.
The shooting happened about 2:50 a.m. Saturday in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 near the connector to Interstate 580, the CHP said. Investigators found that the occupants of two vehicles exchanged gunfire but why has not yet been determined. Both vehicles drove to Richmond after the shooting. The man with fatal wounds was found at a residence and the two wounded men were found at a hospital.
The other shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Treasure Island.
