Everyone looks suspicious, some more than others
If you lost your memory and were subsequently reintroduced to all your family and friends, how would you know which of them you were actually close with, and who you can trust?. Sophie jumped off a boat – or was she pushed?! – apparently trying to escape what looks like a pretty peachy, wealthy existence in San Francisco. Now she’s trying to claw back any memory of her life before, but everyone around her is acting very suspiciously.
She’s going to have to take a punt on who to trust, which is tricky when they’re being so weird. Let’s examine the probability of who is the shadiest:Occam’s razor is a philosophical principle that states the simplest explanation is usually the best one; ergo it must be James, the husband, behind all her trauma. The main evidence? Being so… nice.
Sophie would be quite justified in deleting and blocking Caroline and moving on. But maybe she’s the only one bold enough to be honest with her. “Sorry, I can’t lie to you," she claims. Still, at least she tends to come clutching a bottle of wine whenever she pops up unannounced.First seen eyeing her up from the bar, this guy doesn’t exactly scream “implicitly trustworthy”. Has he been stalking her? He then warns her off her husband, and later follows our line of thinking about James .
