Karen joined Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer in 2012 and has since became a much-loved staple of the show.

The star grew up in the States, attending school and dance training in America it wasn't until early in her career that she decided to take the plunge and move to the UK. Karen then married her Strictly co-star Kevin Clifton in July 2015, after meeting in New York while working together. In previous years, the pro dancer has been paired with numerous famous faces including the likes of Mark Wright, Jeremy Vine, Ainsley Harriott and Simon Rimmer. "When you first start rehearsals - whether it's for the TV show or a tour - I did two tours back to back this year and I had one day off. I actually came home. I had every Monday off and it was mentally and physically exhausting."
With 11 years of experience in Strictly's ballroom as the longest-serving professional dancer, Karen appears to have made plans for a next-level job on the judges panel.
