Still, Deborah commands Ava to read her the entire email. “It says something about Deborah that sheAva read it out loud to her,” says Smart.
“We wanted the ‘nightmare boss’ specifics that Ava had witnessed to be a little funny but not too character-damaging,” says Downs — but it also serves as a runway for more disparaging details.
