"Is that really enough time for a woman to know if they’re pregnant and to make this decision whether or not to have this abortion? Sen. Tim Lanane, D-Anderson said during committee."It seems like that’s a rush.” Messmer said he voted no, because no one who testified supported the bill, and every anti-abortion organization who contacted him told him to vote against it.
"Indiana has had incredible success attracting people to come here by saying this is a good environment for you to live in," Betz said."But that will change and we fully expect that people will leave."
