A fan’s obsession gone wrong: LaPorte County man charged with stalking Taylor Swift
Over nearly two months — March 25 to May 18 — Taebel is accused of sending erratic, disturbing or threatening messages to the management company, her father and Swift’s official social media accounts.
The next day, March 30, he allegedly sent a message to Swift’s father saying he was her “soulmate,” the “only one that can make her feel secure” and “hopes to join them tonight.”Taebel used fake Instagram accounts “bandits4″ and “joealwinrapitst2″ to send a picture of someone shooting a handgun to her “dancer.” Authorities alleged Taebel posted picture of himself to the accounts.
Anticipation sets in as 13 seconds remain until Taylor Swift hits the stage for night one of the Chicago Eras Tour on June 2, 2023, in Soldier Field. He went to a Nashville luxury condominium complex on May 5 where Swift owns a penthouse. He got in through an unlocked door before security stopped him.Taebel told them he was a “great-looking, well-dressed, popular TV host” and asked if Swift was there to say he was in the lobby. They called the cops, but he left before they arrived.
