Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been accused of making Islamophobic comments during a rally, triggering widespread anger from Muslims and members of the opposition.

The world's most-populous nation is in the midst of a six-week long election, in which Mr Modi is expected to secure a rare third consecutive term. Priyata Brajabasi reports from New Delhi.
