Manufacturers in Pennsylvania depend on an affordable and reliable energy supply to meet the needs of our vast and complex supply chains, distribution networks, and needs of consumers. Manufacturers rely on a stable supply of liquid fuels to meet customer demands, and that’s why many of our members work so closely with independent refineries in the Northeast.
Unfortunately independent refiners are in danger of closing for good under the current structure of the federal Renewable Fuel Standard . Many facilities have already closed due to the program’s soaring compliance costs.
