EXCLUSIVE: One of the independence papers published by the SNP Government was downloaded just 1,295 times.
A series of independence papers by the Scottish Government has been branded “dismal” over a plummeting number of downloads.
Twelve papers have been published with the intention of giving Scots an “informed choice” about the future.As of March 25, the number of unique visitors for the first paper on “independence in the modern world” launched by Nicola Sturgeon’s Government stood at 78,571. The fourth paper on a constitution in an independent Scotland racked up 11,793 views while the follow up on citizenship came in at 36,474.
There were over 186,000 unique visitors for the three papers published when Sturgeon was in charge, compared to less than 90,000 downloads for the eight papers released on Yousaf’s watch.Scottish politics Pamela Nash, chief executive of Scotland in Union, said: "These dismal and declining download figures show that the people of Scotland aren't interested in the SNP's negative campaign to divide us.
