Inspired by California Impressionism and painted in shifting light conditions, Sheiner’s work echoes plein air painters from the past while also offering a fresh perspective. The paintings change in different lighting conditions as contemporary pigments reflect or absorb light differently in reaction to daylight and artificial light.
