IMPD officers responded to the 500 block of South Holt Road just after 10 a.m.
Indianapolis police officers fatally shot a man on the southwest side of Indianapolis on Sunday morning after officers responded to reports of a domestic disturbance with a weapon.
The shooting occurred after officers entered the residence. Officers heard gunshots from inside a bedroom and SWAT team members entered the room and engaged the suspect. All four officers wore active body cameras at the time of the incident, Cook said. Recordings of the incident will be uploaded and later reviewed, she said. All four have been placed on"administrative assignment" with pay, Cook added.
Cook would go on to note IMPD officers have been called to the residence before for domestic and other issues.
