Ikea Commits To Using Zero-Emissions Heavy Duty Vehicles By 2040 | Carscoops carscoops

. The company makes 2 million shipments per year, making it important for it to reduce its emissions.

“We’re very excited to launch EV100+ at this year’s Climate Week NYC alongside IKEA,” said Sandra Roling, Director of Transport at Climate Group. “[Medium- and heavy-duty vehicles] represent the final frontierroad transportation, and EV100+ will tackle the heaviest, most polluting vehicles across the world.”

Separately, the company recently announced that it would be installing more than 400 individual EV charging ports at 25 of its locations across the United States. The move, made in conjunction with Electrify America, means that the company is quadrupling the number of chargers it operates at its stores.
