Kate Moss might have just confirmed the return of the low-rise skinny jean.
There’s been some discussion brewing lately over the return of skinny jeans, which, despite the naysayers, have been increasingly popular among the supermodel crowd: Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Hadid, and Gisele Bündchen are all recent wearers. Now, Kate Moss has entered the chat. The model was spotted shopping in the Cotswolds over the weekend in a low-key look that also contained a piece of fashion history.
Moss, of course, was a regular on Westwood’s runways , but this shirt predates even her storied career, which began in 1988. Moss paired her Worlds End blouse with a series of off-duty model staples: a pair of indigo skinny jeans and Pretty Ballerina ballet flats, a wicker tote bag and Wayfarer sunglasses. If her chosen silhouette wasn’t controversial enough, Moss opted for a low-rise fit – a double whammy for those who want fashion from the 2000s to stay dead and buried.
