The free slots are for delivery dates from December 17 to December 23
Frozen grocer Iceland has released hundreds of thousands of free Christmas food delivery slots, and they are now available to pre-book. Customers with an online account have been invited via email to pre-book their Christmas delivery slot.
David Devany, Group Chief Marketing, Customer & Digital Officer at Iceland Foods, said: “Our commitment to adding 100,000 new delivery slots isn’t just about convenience; it’s a testament to our dedication in supporting our customers in their everyday lives. We want to ensure our customers can access our quality and value products when and how it suits them best this Christmas.
In the months running up to the festive season it’s well worth diving into your freezer and giving it a clear down. Do you have any long-forgotten foods that can help you save on your food bills? Or is there anything taking up unnecessary space stopping you from using your freezer to its full potential?Once you’ve cleared down your food, take the opportunity to get rid of any frost built up in your freezer.
Make sure you plan when and how you will thaw and cook your Christmas dinner in advance. Most meat joints can be thawed in the refrigerator overnight, but some may require longer thawing times. Many frozen foods you buy from the supermarket, such as Aunt Bessie’s products, are designed to be cooked straight from frozen, so no thawing required!
