Charles Leclerc was full of relief after winning an eventful Austrian Grand Prix 😅 AustrianGP
Charles Leclerc ended a seven-race winless streak to beat title rival Max Verstappen to victory at the Austrian Grand Prix despite late reliability chaos.
Both Leclerc and teammate Carlos Sainz had such an advantage on the championship leader that they both managed extra pit stops to ease back past the Dutchman., ending the Italian squad’s chances of maximum points. Verstappen couldn’t make enough of a dent on the Monegasque’s three second advantage though, with Leclerc reigniting his title charge, despite more reliability concerns.
It was far from easy for the German though, with a midfield battle fiercely contested, only made more complicated by a number of penalties for track limit infringements.
