The mum-of-one spent a year researching different designs, inks and fabrics before sourcing a team of seamstresses. The mum was recently recognised by Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis after being handed his Small Business Sunday award. “It’s an online store but I just got into Bents Garden Centre and I’ve been in John Lewis as a pop-up shop. I do lots of makers markets and Christmas markets and I’m looking to grow the business. It’s been really, really good so far.”
“You have to have a really thick skin,” she said. “It takes a certain person to be able to do that job. Before embarking in her career at the RSPCA, the mum worked as a prison officer at HMP Manchester, starting her role when she was just 21.
