Chick-fil-A is advertising the sandwich as 'An original take on an original.'
Chick-fil-A has released its much-anticipated Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich and Caramel Crumble milkshake.Chick-fil-A is taking a hint from the south with its newest menu item.
Earlier this week, it released a Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich along with a seasonal Caramel Crumble milkshake.Chick-fil-A is advertising the sandwich as, “An original take on an original.” It features an original chicken filet topped with a custom-made cream pimento cheese and mild pickled jalapeños served on a warm, toasted bun drizzled with sweet honey.
If I do say so myself, Chick-fil-A nailed it. The creamy pimento cheese, honey and pickled jalapeno combo is sublime and, if I do say so myself, the perfect accompaniment to the breaded chicken. In fact, I’ll take a quart of that pimento cheese to go. Partly why it’s so good might have to do with the fact Chick-fil-A makes its own pimento cheese using a combination of sharp cheddar, green chilis and red pimentos. And, here’s one for the history books - it’s the first time the chain has used jalapenos in an entree. Hopefully, not the last.
When devising the sandwich, Chick-fil-A said it was prompted to put a seasonal spin on its original chicken sandwich after the successful introduction of seasonal entrées such as the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich and Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich.Let’s hope the Honey Pepper Pimento stays in rotation. I’d order it again.
