Buses through Farnley were suspended after yobs bricked the windows

After reckless vandals terrified passengers on a Leeds bus, I was asked to take a ride on the service to experience it first hand.

They were wearing tracksuits and vaping while the minutes counted down. The bus then arrived in a timely manner, which is decent for First Bus. I was pleased to hear the operator will no longer be controlling the bus services in the future, following a promise by West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin to bring them under public ownership within the region. In my experience, it is just an awful service overall.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police received reports of two incidents in the Farnley area of Leeds on March 4 and 5 where stones were thrown at passing buses causing smashed windows. There were no reported injuries. Bus services have since been re-instated and thankfully there have been no recurrences.
