Kerry Katona has opened up exclusively to OK! about the end of her baby dreams, revealing that she can’t see herself expanding her brood with her fiancé, Ryan Mahoney.
Still, Kerry admitted it’s an “option” rather than a “priority”, for both of them – and suspects she is still suffering from “PTSD” after her daughter Dylan-Jorge spent four days on life support after her difficult birth almost 10 years ago. “But I feel like I should be enough for a man. Maybe many moons ago I’d have done it for a man, but not any more. Me and my kids should be enough for Ryan, and actually, I know we are.”
“Now, I should be more than enough. If I’m not, Ryan can always go off with a younger model and have a baby with her!” Laughing, she added, “Ryan and I are also so busy building this empire of ours, and dealing with all the issues all our kids bring in the door already, the thought of going back to changing nappies – no way. I think my own kids have been put off having kids, you know!”
Kerry had her youngest, Dylan-Jorge – who Ryan is in the process of officially adopting – with her late ex-husband, George Kay, who died aged 39 in 2019 following an overdose. She hasn’t always had it easy, in motherhood or relationships, but Kerry’s love for her brood – especially when her relationship with her own mother, Sue, has been so troubled – is unshakable.
