Damien Duff worked alongside Neil Lennon during his time as Parkhead boss and is now manager at Shelbourne.
Former Celtic coach Damien Duff insists getting a dog during his time in Glasgow was just as important to him as winning the treble with the Hoops.
The former Chelsea, Newcastle United and Fulham winger had a spell at Parkhead initially as a reserve coach before being promoted to first team duties and helped Celtic win the Treble under Neil Lennon before quitting for family reasons to become assistant manager to Stephen Kelly at Ireland. He was appointed Shelbourne boss three years ago and the Dublin club are currently top of the league. But he insists although he was hugely successful at Celtic, it's a four-legged friend called Bella he values equally from his time in Scotland. Duff explained: "I guess I had a couple of amazing things I brought back from Glasgow. I got a crammed football education in two years, I brought home a couple of league medals, a couple of cup medals, and on a par with all that is Bella.
"I was always afraid of dogs, I would run away, but probably sometimes the best thing is to go get a dog and she's my best mate now. She's a soft Glaswegian, she doesn't like the wind, the rain, or the snow. She just likes cuddles and being petted."
