The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a project to install high-speed fiber optic infrastructure along Interstate 17, between McGuireville Rest Area and Anthem Way .
The $2.5 million project included the installation of a high-speed fiber optic backbone along the entire project corridor, connecting existing Intelligent Transportation System ITS devices with new ITS improvements.
