Last year’s result resulted in no overall political control in Hyndburn
Elections will take place on Thursday, May 2 in 12 out of 16 wards: Altham, Barnfield, Baxenden, Central, Church, Netherton, Overton, Peel, Rishton, Springhill, St Andrews and St Oswalds.
. There will also be a Police and Crime Commissioner election in all of Hyndburn on the same day. The election in Lancashire is being co-ordinated by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.The hours of both polls will be 7am to 10pm.Photo ID is required at polling stations before a vote can be cast. Acceptable forms of ID include passports, driving licences, Older or Disabled Person’s bus passes, Oyster 60+ cards and more.
