A reporter asked Garland whether the Department of Justice exercised a double standard while investigating the president’s son when the DOJ indicted former President Donald Trump on 37 federal charges earlier this month.“As I said from the moment of my appointment as attorney general, I would leave this matter in the hands of the United States attorney” for Delaware, Garland said, referring to David Weiss, who was appointed by the Trump administration.
