Hundreds of chickens die in blaze in Prince William County, Va.
Firefighters at the scene of a fire where hundreds of animals were killed in Gainesville, Va. on May 8. Hundreds of animals were killed Sunday in a huge fire in Prince William County, Va., the fire department said.
Reports indicated that about 500 chickens and ducks were killed in a massive blaze in a barn in the Gainesville area of the county. Four dogs and three pigs also died in the blaze, the department said.
