An International Women’s Day Rally attracted hundreds of people who walked from Writers Square to Belfast City Hall. Those gathered heard from an array of speakers, including the Lord Mayor of Belfast , Councillor Ryan Murphy. March ers and supporters gathered at Writer's Square at 11am on Saturday, March 9, before heading along Royal Avenue for speeches at Belfast City Hall.
Speakers at this year's event included peace campaigners from Northern Ireland, Gaza, and Afghanistan, with this year's theme, 'Peace and Courage', aiming to stand in solidarity with thousands of women around the world facing conflict and adversity
