She's helping to redefine brands' standards for 'nude' makeup.
"Nude" is not a catchall makeup term. Many beauty brands understand that, still, not as many back that mentality up with their product offerings for medium to deep skin tones.with a new collection of palettes tailored to a wide range of skin tones from fair to deep-dark. The Nude Obsession collection features three different miniature eye shadow palettes: Nude Light, Nude Medium, and Nude Dark.
Nude Light offers a mix of peach-toned and cool shades plus a shimmering lavender to make eyes pop. Nude Medium, 's personal favorite, opts for warm yellow-gold, rich copper, and rustic pinks. Meanwhile Nude Rich features a selection of deep, metallic browns with burgundy and true gold shades for maximum emphasis.When creating these palettes, Kattan took far more than just their lightness or darkness into consideration.
She also made sure to note that inclusive nude makeup doesn't end at foundation or concealer, either: "My nude is not the same as your nude and I'm aware of that and sensitive to it. So we approached eye shadow with this in mind, to prove we understand it and we’re doing something about it beyond complexion."
