A lopsided game took a positive turn last week and produced a viral highlight reel when Thomas Edison Energy Charter’sbrought the crowd to life at Montgomery High School with a couple of 3-pointers, a memorable dunk and an unforgettable celebration.
The sophomore connected on three shots from beyond the arc in a 90-35 loss to Montgomery and when he was heating up late from 3-point range, the Montgomery student section erupted after each shot. First, he hit a step-back shot that caught everyone’s attention. Gilpin followed it up on the next possession and tested his range, hitting a shot from well beyond the 3-point line.
