I realize I am a bit late on this post. It got away from me. I swear the kids went back to school like last week. Didn’t they? Anyway, my hair completely fried this past summer. So I had to take a long hard look at my hair care routine. Repairing the damage the sun, chlorine and salt does to our hair does not happen overnight. In fact, it takes a concerted effort to make our hair shiny and strong again.
A stylist walked up to me and said, “I have your same hair texture and I can tell you, there is no fix other than a good cut. And I’m going to have to cut it short. Come back tomorrow.” I was in shock. The hair that had taken me forever to grow half way down my back was going to be gone. Welp. I went back for the cut and you know what? I loved my new layered bob! And I kept it like that for a year before I grew it long again.Even before I cut my hair, I started amassing restorative hair products. I will not show you my shower but you can be assured, it’s insane. Understand I am of the belief that a shampoo and conditioner are meant to be used together. I have been told they are more effective when they are used as the intended set. Deep conditioners and masks are another story.
