Former royal butler Grant Harrold provided insight into how the Firm will honour what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 98th birthday, saying it will be out of the public eye
A year and a half after Queen Elizabeth II's passing at the age of 96, the Royal Family is gearing up for a solemn yet heartfelt commemoration of what would have been her 98th birthday.
Speaking on behalf of Slingo, Grant reveals that while the Royal Family won't hold public celebrations, they will come together in private to quietly acknowledge the late Queen's birthday. With Queen Elizabeth II laid to rest at Windsor Castle's King George VI Memorial Chapel, Grant anticipates that members of the public will make pilgrimages to pay their respects at her final resting place.
Reflecting on his time serving the Queen, Grant fondly recalls her remarkable sense of humour. He shared: ““With the Queen I used to hear about her sense of humour and the fact that sometimes you couldn’t tell if she was being serious or not and she had this amazing humour and sometimes she’d catch you off guard.
