Khalil A. Wheeler Weaver, already sentenced to 160 years in prison for three other murders, is accused of strangling Mawa Doumbia in October 2016.

Their bodies were found in abandoned homes in Orange and Essex County’s 400-acre Eagle Rock Reservation park between August 2016 and November 2016. He was also convicted of raping, binding and strangling another woman, who escaped and testified at his trial. The killing of Doumbia falls in the middle of that violent span of attacks, authorities said. She was strangled, as were the three other women Wheeler-Weaver has been convicted of killing, authorities said.

Wheeler-Weaver also texted Doumbia his mobile number, the same number that was used to contact another murder victim, authorities said. Google location records for Wheeler-Weaver revealed that his mobile device traveled to the area of Doumbia’s home and “then proceeded directly to the area remains were later recovered,” authorities said.
