hasn’t been in the hands of customers for long and it has already proven itself to perhaps be the very finest performance car built in the U.S. However, is it actually worth $40,000 more than the entry-level Corvette Stingray?perform against each other, Edmunds brought the two along for a couple of performance tests and while the results probably won’t shock you, it is still a very entertaining video to watch.
In the test, the two cars are pitted against each other in a drag race from a standing start and then have to perform a U-turn before sprinting back to the start line. Both launch off the line very well but after the first 50 feet or so, the Z06 begins to pull away. The driver was also able to brake harder in it than the Stingray’s driver and was also able to complete the U-turn at a much higher speed. The Z06 ends up taking quite a comfortable victory.
